Swipe to replay is the first update and this is currently available on iOS and this is expected to available on iOS and also expected to come on Android. Using this simple feature the users will able to swipe messages right to reply followed by a reply action. Still, it is not known that if it is an additional feature along with the long press action or it will replace it, but WhatsApp is working currently on it so that they make this feature available on Android as well.

The iOS users have been enjoying this feature of swipe to replay for a long time, but due to some unknown reasons, Android users have been left out.  A new update was recently submitted by WhatsApp through the Google Play Beta Programme, which brings the beta version up to 2.18.282 respectively.
