The Facebook-owned company WhatsApp which is related to the messaging app will stop supporting iOS 7 from February 1, 2020, in the run-up for offering better service to the customers around the world. As announced earlier the people who are using Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread will also lose support from February 2020. And if you are still a user of Android Gingerbread in 2020, then it is sure that you probably have some more things to worry about then WhatsApp messages.
While for the next year and a half, the previously mentioned versions of iOS and Android will be compatible with the app, and it is informed by the app- maker that some of the features of WhatsApp may stop working any time because it is not actively developing for these platforms anymore. In the main time if you are a user of Nokia S40 then you can say that you are basically living on borrowed time. And the reason for this is the slated platform to lose support on the month of December 31, 2018.

- Android version 2.3.7 and also it’s older version would support till February 1, 2020.
- Nokia S40 which would support till the end of December 31, 2018.
- iOS and it’s older version which would support till the end of February 1, 2020.
While going forward the following operating systems will only be supported –
- iOS 8 and above
- Android 4.0 jelly bean and above
- KaiOS which includes Nokia 8110 4G, JioPhone and JioPhone 2.
- Windows Phone 8.1 and above
So it is great that WhatsApp is announcing its future plans in advance and in the same time, it is also supporting the long-defunct platform and their legacy versions also for a long time and for this you have to give props to WhatsApp messages.
